Vincent Lanci


Vincent Lanci is founder and Managing Partner of Echobay Partners Ltd. He founded Echobay in 2008 using profits from previous trading operations as seed capital. Vincent currently directs investment strategy and works closely with senior associates to develop valuation models for the firm’s investment choices.

Prior to Echobay, he founded CiS Options, LLC, a derivative trading and research firm in the commodity space. Through CiS Options, Vincent successfully managed CiS Energy, LP a fifty million dollar fund from 2005 to 2007. The fund generated an annualized ROR of 85% during that time. CiS Options has created a new fund, CiS Partners LP, for trading in emerging markets derivatives and expects to be active in late 2009.

Before this, Vincent founded and was president of Berard Capital Management, a commodity market making firm.He began his career as a Commodity Derivatives trader on the floors of the Nymex, Comex, and Nybot exchanges working for Cooper Neff and Associates.

Guido Valenzuela – Senior Analyst



Mr. Valenzuela is well versed in creating Indices using data from a market approach perspective. He has a degree in Industrial engineering from the BA Institute of Technology. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, having been approved at all three CFA program levels. He started his career at Denario.com as a Financial and Economics Analyst, where his main responsibility was to follow up and complete the “Denario Liquidity Index” and other market approach indexes. Prior to that he was a Financial Analyst in the Real Estate markets.

Julian Vignaud – Business Analyst

Mr. Vignaud is a Business Analyst at Echobay Partners, LTD. He joined the firm in August 2009, focusing on commodity derivative portfolio valuations, risk management, and econometric modeling.

Julian graduated in 2009 from the College of William & Mary with a B.A in Economics. His academic studies focused on the theoretical and practical applications of derivatives trading and statistical modeling, specifically stochastic calculus, PDE’s, and ARCH/GARCH volatility modeling. Prior to joining Echobay, Julian held internship positions at Morgan Stanley and First Investors Corporation.

At William & Mary, Julian studied under Professor Madison Sean Tarter, former head of quantitative research at Mentor Investment Group, and founder of Tarter Econometrics.

Gregory Ceponis – Business Analyst

Gregory is a Business Analyst at Echobay Partners, LTD. He graduated in 2009 from Muhlenberg with a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy. Gregory joined the firm in January 2010, focusing on emerging markets, fundamental analysis, and risk assessment.
